Sono Rob, un inglese che vive a Londra.

Non sono nuovo per le auto italiane, avendo posseduto alcuni dei vostri bellissimi esempi per molti anni. Tuttavia sono abbastanza nuovo per la proprietà di 500.

Sono l'orgoglioso proprietario di "Valentina" un modello R 1975.

Restaurato nel 2017 / 2018. È un membro molto amato della nostra famiglia. Ovunque vada, è al centro dell'attenzione e tutta la famiglia la ama così tanto.

Hello all. This is my first post on this forum.

I'm Rob, an English person living in London.

I'm not new to Italian cars, having owned some of your countries beautiful examples for many years. However I'm fairly new to 500 ownership.

I'm the proud owner of "Valentina" a 1975 R model.

Restored in 2017 / 2018. She is a well loved member of our family. Everywhere she goes, she is the centre of attention and the whole family love her so much.

A lot of people comment on the colour of our baby as she is not your usual original Fiat colour.

Ciao Alessio e Francesco e grazie per le gentili parole e . Sono contento che a entrambi piaccia il colore! Ci è voluto molto tempo per decidere quale verde usare. Sapevamo sempre che avremmo un interno bianco.

 So che qualcuno commenterà che le ruote non sono corrette. Ma ho preferito l'aspetto della ruota a L. Posso sempre montare la ruota R in una fase successiva.

Ovviamente Valentina è stata rinchiusa per il periodo invernale qui a Londra. Sono eccitato di poterla usare presto. Se solo avessi il tempo del Sud Italia!

Hi Alessio and Francesco and thanks for the kind words and welcome. I'm glad you both like the color! It took a long time to decide which green to use. We always knew we would have a white interior.

I know someone will comment that the wheels are not correct. But I preferred the look of the L wheel. I can always mount the R wheel at a later stage.

Of course Valentina has been locked away for the winter period here in London. I’m excited to be able to use her soon. If only I had the weather of Southern Italy!

by me too, welcome to this forum.
I like the hue of green that you've choose, I think that he match well with the white seats.
One only thing, you putted your post in the thread of "original cars", while your Valentina is heavily personalized :)
And engine, how is it? Some tuning applied?

Luigi, sembra che abbia infranto le regole del forum sul mio primo post :-) Ma sono sicuro che mi perdonerai tutti in questa occasione.

Valentina ha alcuni aggiornamenti per renderla più affidabile e divertente da guidare (a mio parere). Questi sono:

Carb di 28 mm (il modello R è venuto con 24 mm per ridurre la potenza)
Cambio sincronizzato
Accensione elettronica (powerspark)
Padella per olio Abrarth 4L
Regolatore elettronico di tensione mentre il mio stava sovraccaricando la batteria.
Sedili regolabili dal modello L.
Scarico sportivo doppio tubo (Deve essere buono per + 0,25BHP)
Nuovi componenti di accensione, inclusi resina Viper in resina secca, conduttori in silicone, candele, tappo distributore e rotazione.

È una gioia da guidare. Tira molto bene con 2 persone e alcuni bagagli e tiene bene nel traffico. Non ho problemi a iniziarla caldo o freddo. Non vedo l'ora di mettere molti altri KM su di lei quest'anno.

Fabio, I have seen your PM and have sent you an email.

Luigi, looks like I've broken the forum rules on my first post :-) But I'm sure you'll all forgive me on this occasion.

Valentina has some upgrades to make her more reliable and enjoyable to drive (in my opinion). These are:

28mm Carb (R model came with 24mm to reduce power)
Synchronised gearbox
Electronic ignition (powerspark)
Abrarth 4L oil pan
Electronic voltage regulator as mine was overcharging the battery.
Adjustable seats from L model
Twin pipe sports exhaust (Must be good for + 0.25BHP)
New ignition components, including, dry resin Viper coil, Silicone leads, spark plugs, distributor cap and rota.

She is a joy to drive. Pulls very well with 2 people and some luggage and keeps up well in traffic. I have no problems starting her hot or cold. Looking forward to putting many more KM's on her this year.
